Project Overview

Metro Toronto Convention Center is Canada’s largest convention facility covering over 2 million square feet. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre hosts numerous events here every year, so each work period was very intense. This project was scheduled for 3 phases in 1 year. The duration of each phase was varied based on the event schedule. The longest shut-down of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre South Building for construction was the first phase but only 7 weeks in total. This project consisted of tenant modernization of occupied commercial space located in downtown Toronto, Ontario. The work consisted of new meeting room entrances, build new steel-concrete composite structural balconies, install new Skyfold partitions, create and layout new office area, transform the previous supplier and administration offices into new meeting room with new addition steel structure, expand the existing escalator, upgrade the illumination system, monitor system, HVAC system, plumbing system and fire protection system, build new addition 4-storey height elevator with new reinforcement-concrete stairwell wall and interior finishes replacement and modernization.
