Project Overview

The project entails renovating the basement level of the facility to accommodate the expansion of a daycare center. The objective is to enhance the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of the interior spaces to meet the specific requirements of childcare services. The renovation includes essential upgrades for childcare operations: Heating & Cooling System, Ventilation System, Toddler Washroom, Daycare Sensory Lighting System, New Laundry Room Interior Finishes: Upgrade of flooring, ceilings, millwork, and painting for aesthetics and functionality. Improvements to exterior access and safety features: Construction of new concrete ramp, Stainless steel and glazing railings and barrier free accessibility.

About the Client

Martin Luther Church is a bilingual Lutheran congregation serving both the Canadian and German communities in Toronto. As part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) and the Protestant Church of Germany (EKD), the church offers worship services in English and German, with a focus on faith, music, and community connection. In addition to its spiritual mission, the church supports a licensed child care centre for 72 children and maintains strong partnerships with local organizations—making it a vital hub for celebration, service, and inspiration in the heart of the city.
